written by WOFA | January 22, 2010

Hawker Pacific has announced it has signed an agreement with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) to provide seven Diamond aircraft for its Aviation department.

Under the agreement, Hawker Pacific will supply six new DA-40s and one DA42L360 twin engine aircraft as well as a five year support package for UNSW Aviation.

Brian Horton, Director of Flight Operations at the UNSW Aviation, said, “These aeroplanes will provide our students with one of the world’s best training environments, consistent with our objective of being the leading aviation university in the Australasian region.”

The aircraft are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2010 and will be housed at UNSW Aviation’s facilities at Bankstown Airport.
