Final Dreamlifter enters service

Boeing has announced that the fourth and final Dreamlifter entered service on February 16, operating its maiden service from Everett, Washington, to Wichita, Kansas.

The Dreamlifter is a 747-400 heavily modified to carry large composite structures for the 787 from around the world for final assembly at Everett, and eventually Charleston. The aircraft were modified by Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp in Taipei, with the four aircraft operated by Evergreen Aviation and Cargolux.
