written by WOFA | February 5, 2010

Lovitt Technologies Australia has become the first industry member of the Australian Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AusAMRC), which is an initiative led by Swinburne University and Boeing Australia to research and develop new manufacturing technologies for aerospace, and other advanced industries.

Lovitt will work with AusAMRC on research to improve its capabilities in hard metal machining. “Joining the AusAMRC will enable us to remain competitive in the global industry, and to work on innovative and creative solutions,” said Marcus Ramsay, managing director of Lovitt Technologies.

“We’re delighted to welcome Lovitt as the first of many AusAMRC members, and look forward to working with them to develop technology driven solutions to ensure Australian suppliers remain in the top ranks of the aerospace industry,” said Bill Lyons, general manager of Boeing Research and Technology-Australia.
