written by WOFA | February 5, 2010

Singapore Airlines has announced that it will refit the cabins on 11 777-200s, with the first refitted aircraft to enter service on February 23.

The aircraft will feature 38 business class and 228 economy class seats. In business, the aircraft will have the same leather, incline lie-flat seats as on the airline’s fleet of A330-300s and 15.4in personal AVOD screens. Economy seats will be refurbished with new seat covers designed by Givenchy, similar to those on the A380 and 777-300ER, with a 9in AVOD screen.

The refurbished aircraft will be first introduced onto the Singapore-Shanghai route from February 23, and will be progressively rolled out on services to Beijing, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Chennai between April and August.
