Fokker Services has delivered a VIP configured Fokker 100 featuring an auxiliary fuel tank system (AFTS), which helps to significantly boost the aircraft’s range.
The AFTS, which consists of four auxiliary tanks installed in the forward cargo compartment of the aircraft, extends the range of the aircraft out to approximately 2700nm, dependent on configuration. As such, Fokker Services is aiming the retrofit at VIP configured Fokker 100s.
Fokker Services, which is a division of Stork Aerospace, offers a number of support services for existing Fokker operators around the world. The company has also recently started a program to support Bombardier Dash 8-100s and -200s now that the Canadian manufacturer has suspended production of the smaller aircraft types.
