Jetstar has announced that it will expand its fare product offering on long haul flights with the launch of JetPlus fares.

The new fare product, which will only be available on international services operated by its fleet of Airbus A330-200s, will include bundling of a portable video on demand unit, meal and drinks package and a comfort pack as well as no fees for name or date changes, except for any fare difference.

“The introduction of our new JetPlus fare product on selected Jetstar international flights is in direct response to what some of our customers have been asking for: a great low fare with the choice of including a meal and drinks package, all entertainment and amenities,” said Jetstar executive manager commercial David Koczkar.

The new product aligns Jetstar’s fare offerings closer to airlines such as Air Canada, which offers various fare levels with each reflecting a particular level of service and has helped it to be able to meet a number of markets on a single flight.
