JSF test aircraft F-35A AF-1, the first “optimised” A model F-35, has emerged from Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Final Finishes Facility at Fort Worth sporting its robot applied paint coatings and new hand painted fin flashes on its vertical tails.

AF-1 had flown twice late last year before undergoing a period of ground testing, but is being prepared for its return to flight and being ferried to Edwards AFB for continued flight testing.
