Qantas had the highest rate of on time performance during April, in a month when the industry average was slightly lower than the long term average.
Qantas had an on time departure rate of 89.4 per cent for the month, followed by Virgin Blue at 86.9 per cent, Jetstar at 85.9 per cent and Tiger Airways at 80.3 per cent. The regional airlines were led by Regional Express at 92.6 per cent, followed by QantasLink at 86.5 per cent and Skywest at 79.7 per cent.
Virgin Blue recorded the highest cancellation rate for the month at 1.7 per cent, followed by Tiger Airways at 1.6 per cent, while Regional Express recorded only a 0.1 per cent cancellation rate.
