USMC upgrades to new King Airs

written by WOFA | May 19, 2010

The USMC has received the first of six King Air 350 based UC-12W Huron special mission aircraft to replace six UC-12s which are based on older King Air 200s and have been in service for more than 20 years.

The new aircraft feature the 350’s Collins Proline 21 avionics suite and are equipped with cargo doors and other military specific equipment for the intra-theatre transport of high priority cargo and passengers.

Apart from the six on order, the USMC holds options for an additional six UC-12Ws.
