Qantas sells off DPEX

written by WOFA | June 8, 2010

Qantas has announced that it has sold its shareholding in Asian express cargo operation DPEX Worldwide to Toll Holdings for an undisclosed sum.

Qantas said in a statement that the sale was part of its “ongoing strategy of focusing on core business areas.” The sale excludes DPEX’s Australian operations, and is subject to approval from Chinese competition authorities  due to the existing scale of the two company’s operations in China.

Qantas acquired Singapore based DPEX Worldwide in 2007 as part of a push to increase its footprint in the Asian freight market.
