Qantas will add another six weekly services between Sydney and Perth from July this year, taking its total frequency on the route to 54 return flights per week.
The new services will depart from Sydney daily between Sunday and Friday at 3:10pm, while the services from Perth depart at 7:05am and operate daily between Monday to Saturday.
“These additional services will enable growth on the Perth to Sydney route and is a sign of improving passenger demand in this market,” said Qantas’s regional general manager Western Australia Ian Gay.
Qantas has been adding capacity to its WA routes, primarily to support growth in the mining and petroleum industries. The carrier recently commenced new nonstop services from Melbourne and Sydney to Karratha, as well as boosting services from Perth.
