Tiger to link Avalon with Adelaide and Perth

written by WOFA | June 8, 2010
Tiger Airways continues to expand.

Tiger Airways Australia has announced that it will commence flights from its new base at Avalon Airport to Adelaide and Perth in November.

The announcement comes only days after Tiger announced its first service from Avalon would be to the Gold Coast. The new flight to Adelaide will commence on November 10, with fares on sale from $25 one way, while Perth services commence on November 12 with fares from $95 one way.

“Not only do Victorians now have even more holiday or travel destination options, but we are making it even more affordable for travellers from Perth and Adelaide to experience everything that Victoria has to offer,” said Tiger’s managing director Crawford Rix.

Tiger will base two A320s at Avalon to operate its services. The airline aims to have a fleet of 12 A320s in service by the end of the year across its Avalon, Tullamarine and Adelaide bases.
