The organisers of the Wings over Wairarapa airshow in New Zealand have announced that it will take place again over the weekend of January 29-31 2011 at Hood Aerodrome in Masterton, near Wellington.
“Wings Over Wairarapa 2011 will really see this event come of age. Now in its 12th year we are expecting over 50,000 to attend over the three days of the event,” says Liz Pollock the event’s manager. “Gates will open from lunch time on the Friday, the shows Official Practice day, to give visitors the opportunity to look around the many trade sites that will be featured and also to watch the various display aircraft go through their paces before the first official day on the show on the Saturday.”
The theme of the 2011 show, ‘We Will Remember’, will celebrate not only the aircraft but the men and women that have shaped the history of aviation, and will feature a number of antique aircraft, including some from The Vintage Aviator Collection.
