Airservices extends RFACA sponsorship

written by WOFA | July 2, 2010

Airservices Australia and the Royal Federation of Aero Clubs of Australia have extended their sponsorship agreement for a further three years, which provides for scholarships to assist young pilots to complete their training.

The sponsorship agreement supports the RFACA Learn to Fly Scholarship Competition that will see four Australians assisted to achieve their pilot’s licence each year of the agreement. Airservices provides $7000 for each scholarship winner to subsidise their training costs.

“We’re proud to support the work of RFACA as they help young people learn to fly safely and possibly consider a career in the aviation industry,” said Airservices’s acting general manager corporate relations and international affairs Michelle Bennetts.

“This agreement is part of our wider contribution to the aviation industry and we look forward to building on this association with RFACA.”
