CAE signs exclusive deal with Mitsubishi

written by WOFA | July 20, 2010

Canadian training firm CAE has signed an exclusive agreement with Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation which will see it as the sole provider of training services for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ).

“We concluded that CAE, with its vast experience, human resources and proven capabilities, would be our best partner for training,” said Hideo Egawa, president of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation. “We’re confident that working in collaboration with CAE, we will be able to provide our customers with the best training one could ask for.”

The agreement will run for 10 years, and see CAE establish training centres in Japan and the US, with other centres to be established elsewhere, subject to need. The first programs will run in 2013, with full motion simulator and procedures trainers provided at the two centres. CAE will also provide training and courseware for pilots, maintenance technicians, cabin crew, dispatchers and ground support personnel.
