The first F-22 Raptors have arrived at Hickam AFB in Hawaii where they will be permanently based with the 199th Fighter Squadron, 154th Air Wing, Hawaiian Air National Guard, and the active duty 19th FS, 15th AW.
Twenty F-22s will replace F-15Cs at Hickam, with the F-15s being transferred to mainland reserve units.
The F-22 is now based at seven locations; Langley AFB in Virginia, Tyndall AFB in Florida (for training), Nellis AFB in Nevada (operational test), Elmendorf AFB in Alaska (where an RAAF Hornet pilot flies on exchange), Holloman AFB in New Mexico, and Edwards AFB in California (development).
