Cessna launches iPad app

written by WOFA | August 3, 2010

Cessna has launched iFlite, a new application for the Apple iPad which provides critical flight information and planning functions for operators of its range of single engine aircraft.

“Bringing these applications to the single engine market means Cessna pilots will be able to easily use their personal computer and phone devices for ease of flight planning and accessing real-time weather data,” said Cessna’s vice president of Customer Service Brad Thress.

The iFlite application has been developed by Cessna and Hilton Software, and allows users to calculate performance and weight and balance, as well as gaining access to information such as airport status, weather briefings and manufacturer checklists.
