written by WOFA | September 6, 2010

The Australian Airports Association (AAA) has announced that Caroline Wilkie has been appointed as its executive director, with Ken Leach retiring after nearly 13 years in the position.

Wilkie will take on the position in early October before the AAA’s annual convention and technical workshop in Adelaide. She was previously the national manager airports and transport with the Tourism and Transport Forum.

“Ms Wilkie brings a wealth of relevant experience to this important industry role, having strong networks within government, with proven success in the areas of media communication and strong stakeholder relationships,” said AAA chairman John McArdle.  “She has indicated a passion for the industry and genuine enthusiasm for her new role.”
