Boeing has reorganised its Military Aircraft (BMA) business, consolidating it from six divisions to four and cutting senior management.
The reorganisation is to take effect from October 1 and will result in four new divisions; Global Strike based in St Louis, Mobility based in Ridley Park near Philadelphia, Surveillance and Engagement based in Seattle, and Missiles and Unmanned Systems based in St Charles near St Louis. The previous Rotorcraft division has been split between the new Mobility (CH-47 & V-22) and Global Strike (AH-64) divisions, while Missiles and Unmanned have been merged.
“This new structure supports BMA’s progression from a product based business to a capabilities based business, focusing on supporting our customers in the United States and increasingly important international markets,” Boeing Military Aircraft president, Chris Chadwick, said. “It is consistent with initiatives under way throughout the entire Boeing defence business that will allow us to remain competitive and grow.”
