The latest report from the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) on its domestic air fare indexes shows that fares on four of the five categories fell during October.

The biggest fall was in the best discount carrier index, which fell from 66.1 in October 2009 to 57.3. The restricted economy index fell from 94.8 to 91.7, while the business index fell from 103.9 to 97.0. The only index to rise was the full economy index, which went from 89.9 to 92.2.
