Airnorth has chosen StandardAero to overhaul the Hamilton Sundstrand APS2300 auxiliary power units used on its Embraer E-170 fleet.

“StandardAero is pleased to be the provider of choice for Airnorth,” said Ian Smart, senior vice president, airlines & fleets, StandardAero. “Establishing a maintenance contract helps position us for long term growth in the region and offers Airnorth a number of benefits, including preferential contract pricing, guaranteed turn times and access to spare APUs, if required.”

The agreement is for three years with two consecutive two year options, which could see the agreement stretched out to July 2017. Apart from Hamilton Sundstrand, StandardAero is the only other authorised repair facility for the APS2300.
