BOC orders 777s and A320s

Thai will lease eight 777-300ERs from BOC Aviation. (Boeing)

Lessor BOC Aviation has ordered eight Boeing 777-300ERs valued at approximately US$2.2bn (A$2.2bn). BOC, which is a subsidiary of the Bank of China, says the aircraft will be placed on long term lease with Thai Airways International.

BOC has also placed an order for 30 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, with the aircraft to be delivered over three years from 2012. With the latest order, BOC has now ordered 128 A320 Family aircraft.
