written by WOFA | November 2, 2010

Dan Crowley, the former executive vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 JSF program and since May of this year, COO of its Aeronautics business, has announced an immediate departure from the company for a position at rival Raytheon.

A Lockheed statement to US media said Crowley “has informed us of his decision to leave the company effective immediately. This was his personal decision.”

Crowley has taken up the position of president of Raytheon’s Network Centric Systems division, and Lockheed Martin says the position of COO, which was created for Crowley, will not be filled.
