LH A380 experiences landing gear problem

written by WOFA | November 17, 2010

A Lufthansa A380 was forced to abandon a departure from Frankfurt to Tokyo on November 16 after the pilot noticed problems with the nosewheel steering.

The aircraft, with 395 passengers on board, was taxiing before takeoff when the pilot decided to return to the gate. It has been grounded while inspections are completed.

The passengers were flown to Tokyo five hours later on another A380, with Lufthansa having taken delivery of its fourth A380 that day.
