Superjet International says that the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ100) is nearing certification, with all major flight test programs now completed.
“We’ve already gone through the most challenging testing certification programs. As per our estimations our team has already covered 90 per cent of the overall certification testing scope. Now we are finalising avionics safety failure testing, EMC, HIRF with emergency evacuation testing to follow,” said Igor Vinogradov, SVP of certification.
The latest part of the flight testing program to be completed was a series of crosswind test landings at Keflavik International Airport in Iceland. The type has also completed CAT II landing trials as part of its certification program, while preparation for CAT IIIA testing is in progress.
It is expected that certification of the SSJ100 will be completed by the end of the year, with first delivery to launch customer Aeroflot expected shortly thereafter.
