Strategic Airlines has announced plans to operate new Brisbane-Denpasar nonstop Airbus A330 services from March 19.

Strategic plans to operate twice weekly flights on the route, departing Brisbane on Wednesdays and Saturdays, operated by its A330-200, which is configured in a two class 30 business, 243 economy class configuration. Strategic already flies between Brisbane and Bali operating one stop A320 flights via Port Hedland (once weekly) and a new Townsville twice weekly service (which launched on December 3).

Strategic originally used its A330 to service an ADF contract to fly troops and equipment between Australia and the Middle East, but since losing that contract it has opted to deploy the aircraft on RPT services. From February Strategic also plans to begin twice weekly Melbourne-Phuket and Brisbane-Phuket services.

The new Bali-Brisbane flights are subject to regulatory approval.
