written by WOFA | February 9, 2011
QantasLink is to open a lounge at Gladstone.

QantasLink has announced plans to open a new ‘Regional Lounge’ at Gladstone Airport.

Subject to final approval from airport authorities, QantasLink executive manager Narendra Kumar said the new premium lounge would add to the regional airline’s growing network of lounges and premium offering. “Gladstone is an important LNG, resource and tourism centre in Central Queensland. It is an important market for our airline and it will join our select list of ports to have a Regional Lounge.”

The lounge will reflect the same style as Qantas Club lounges across Australia and offer Qantas Club members and Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers a range of services including wireless internet, pay TV, and a selection of food and drinks.

Two Qantas Regional Lounges are already available in Queensland at Mackay and Rockhampton, with a new lounge planned for Emerald in the coming months.
