For the first time aircraft from the Temora Aviation Museum will be on show at the Avalon Airshow next month, as the airshow celebrates the 90th anniversary of the RAAF.

Temora’s (RAAF owned) CAC Sabre plus its Lockheed Hudson, Gloster Meteor and Spitfire Mk V III will be among the warbirds on display at Avalon. Temora Aviation Museum chief executive Kenny Love said that his team was “excited to be participating at the Avalon Airshow, which will be the highlight of the RAAF’s 90th birthday celebrations”.

“It will be a wonderful opportunity for all enthusiasts to see a wide range of Australian historical aircraft combined with current serving aircraft.”

The Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) will also have a significant presence at Avalon, including a Lockheed Neptune, C-47 Dakota, Consolidated Catalina and Lockheed Constellation.

The 2011 Australian International Airshow will be held from March 4 to 6 at Avalon Airport.
