ExTASS for RAAF C-17s

Northrop Grumman will provide its Expeditionary Tactical Automated Security System (or ExTASS) for RAAF C-17s under a contract awarded by the Defence Materiel Organisation.

ExTASS is an open architecture command and control platform for the integration  of force protection sensors. The RAAF will use ExTASS to protects its C-17s during expeditionary operations at home in Australia.

“This contract demonstrates the continued cooperation between the US and Australia in the worldwide fight against terrorism,” said Michael Danick, programs director with Northrop Grumman Information System sector’s integrated command, control, communications and intelligence    systems business.

“We are proud to expand on our critical infrastructure and force protection capabilities to support the Australian Department of Defence.”
