Boeing has announced the appointment of Jack Jones to become vice president and general manager of the company’s South Carolina facilities.
The 31-year Boeing veteran will assume overall responsibility for Boeing South Carolina, where its facilities currently fabricate, assemble and install systems for the aft fuselage sections of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and joins and integrates 787 mid-body fuselage sections from other structural partners. The company will also soon undertake final assembly and delivery of 787s at South Carolina.
Jones replaces Tim Coyle, who is moving on to lead operations at Boeing’s Aviation Technical Services (ATS) facility in Everett, Washington, responsible for medications and completion of early-production 787 aircraft.
