Cessna has announced an upgrade for its Corvalis high-performance single-engine piston, the Corvalis TTX.

“At the heart of the new Cessna TTX is the first touch-screen-controlled glass flightdeck ever designed for a piston aircraft. The G2000 represents a new generation in advanced avionics,” Cessna chairman, president and CEO Jack Pelton said.

Key to the TTX is an updated avionics package featuring a Garmin G2000 based ‘Intrinzic’ flightdeck, L-3 glass panel standby instrument system, dual AHRS, and a high res multifunction display, in addition to a new cabin interior.

Cessna will begin delivery of the Corvalis TTX in 2012.
