Virgin Australia has announced a restructure of its airfares, aimed at delivering “greater flexibility” and “better value” for customers travelling on the new-look airline.

Only three fare types will be now offered across Virgin Australia and Polynesian Blue flights – Saver, Flexi or Premium. No change will be made to V Australia fare types.

“With this new product offering we are able to deliver what every traveller wants – genuinely simple and easy to understand fares, the choice of what you want included and incredible value for money,” Virgin Australia’s group executive, Commercial, Liz Savage said in a statement.

The new fare restructure coincides with the opening of Virgin Australia’s new Tonkin Zulaikha Greer (TZG) lounge in Melbourne and the announcement of a regional lounge in Mackay, which both feature free wi-fi/networking facilities, meeting areas and a number of beverage and refreshments for guests.

Following is a summary of what each fare type offers:

Saver
