Airbus has delivered the 50th A320 assembled in China to Shanghai based Juneyao Airlines.

The Juneyao A320, which was handed over during a ceremony held at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Tianjin, will add to the airline’s existing fleet of two A319s and 17 A320s.

“The 50th delivery is a major milestone for FALC (Final Assembly Line in China),” Airbus China president Laurence Barron said. “Airbus will continue providing the best products and services to its Chinese customers.”

Airbus’s FALC is a joint venture between the company and a Chinese consortium comprising Tianjin Free Trade Zone (TJFTZ) and China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC). Deliveries of Chinese assembled aircraft began in 2009.
