Tiger Airways is to “shortly” move three of its Avalon routes to Melbourne/Tullamarine following a recent network review.

With one Avalon based A320 being shifted to Melbourne, flights to Brisbane, Adelaide and the Gold Coast from Avalon will operate instead from Melbourne/Tullamarine. However, Tiger will continue to fly to Sydney and Perth from Avalon, and has flagged increasing Avalon-Sydney flights to up to three times daily.

“Put very simply, the changes reflect a combination of market demand, normal aviation business practice and commercial reality: a strong return fuels future growth,” said Crawford Rix, Tiger Airways Australia CEO.
