Trans-Tasman services back on track after ash cloud delays

written by WOFA | June 27, 2011

Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia subsidiary Pacific Blue have all restarted trans-Tasman services from today, following the chaotic disruption of the ash cloud from Chile’s Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano, with Jetstar also resuming its domestic New Zealand services.

Some Qantas international flights continue to be affected, with QF63 from Sydney to Johannesburg operating via Perth, QF17 from Sydney to Buenos Aires delayed 22 hours, and QF18 from Buenos Aires to Sydney delayed 7 hours and 30 mins, and will operate via Papeete, Tahiti.
