Airbus Military has finalised a strategic collaboration agreement with PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), aimed at providing support to the Indonesian aerospace industry.
Signed on July 6, the agreement follows on from a MoU signed between both parties in Feburary, and will initiate the first phase of the program, with Airbus Military to support PTDI in enhancing its industrial processes and increasing global efficiency.
“This agreement with Airbus Military will enable us to undertake structural reforms to help turn-around and grow the aerospace sector. The possibility of new developments and the subsequent opening of new markets, together with our partners in Airbus Military, will allow us to create a generation of highly trained engineers, managers and workers, who will not only serve the aerospace industry, but will revolutionise other sectors of the economy of our country,” Minister of State Owned Enterprises of Indonesia, Mustafa Abubakar said.
PTDI currently supplies components for Airbus Military’s C212 and CN235 transports, with Airbus Military keen to increase PTDI’s involvement in its supply chain.
