CHC Super Puma strikes light pole

CHC Australia AS 332L1 Super Puma VH-LAG was substantially damaged when its main rotor blades struck a light tower while taxiing at Port Keats airport at Wadeye in the Northern Territory on July 21.

“While taxiing at Port Keats airport, the helicopter collided with a light pole and rolled onto its side. The crew, passengers and a person on the ground sustained minor injuries,” according to the ATSB. “The investigation is continuing.”
