written by WOFA | July 28, 2011
The GA10 will be powered by the RR M250.

Rolls-Royce and GippsAero have signed at the EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh the formal agreement which will see the RR M250-B17F/2 turboprop power the GA10 development of the GA8 Airvan.

“The development of the GA10 TP will add a new dimension to the GippsAero product range and with the Rolls-Royce M250-B17 F/2 fitted, will open new market segments across the globe since the aircraft will offer lowest cost per seat in its class and best-in-class short takeoff and landing capability,” Dr Terry Miles, CEO of GippsAERO, said.

The GA10 10-seat, turbine development of the GA8 will be certified to FAR Part 23, with service entry planned for 2013.
