Tiger management begins meetings with CASA over safety concerns

written by WOFA | July 4, 2011

Tiger Airways Australia has commenced an “extensive series of meetings” between its management team, lead by Tiger Airways Holdings CEO Tony Davis, and CASA, as it works to resolve the serious safety concerns which led to CASA grounding the airline on July 1.

“Our goal is to resume our services as quickly as possible whilst restoring the confidence of both CASA and the Australian public at large that safety underpins our operations at all times,” Tiger said in a statement this afternoon.

That airline has again apologised to all affected passengers as a result of the grounding, and has offered an automatic refund of any tickets purchased for flights now cancelled. Tiger’s grounding will remain in effect until at least  July 9.
