Tiger Airways Australia has announced that flights between Melbourne and the Gold Coast will go on sale from today, with daily return services between both destinations resuming on August 31.

The announcement follows the resumption of flights between Melbourne and Sydney on August 12 and Melbourne to Brisbane services on August 18, after Tiger was handed back its AOC by CASA on August 11. Tiger has since claimed a “solid on-time performance exceeding 90 per cent for all arrivals and departures” since resuming flights, and is says it is satisfied with forward bookings so far.

Flights to the Gold Coast will leave Melbourne Airport at 4.40pm, while return flights from the Gold Coast depart at 7.10pm daily.
