DAHER SOCATA has rolled out the 600th TBM high performance turboprop single during a ceremony at its Tarbes, France, production facility on October 20.

“With the roll-out of TBM no. 600, we celebrate the success of this program, which initially targeted building just 600,” said Stéphane Mayer, president and CEO of DAHER-SOCATA. “While this goal has now been achieved, we’re not stopping here, as the TBM represents a key product and an important asset for the DAHER Group.”

The milestone TBM 850 will be delivered to a US customer.

The original TBM 700 was certified in 1990, while the 300th TBM came off the assembly line in June 2004. Today’s more powerful TBM 850 was introduced in 2006. SOCATA says the TBM 850 remain’s the world’s fastest turboprop single,  “with a maximum cruise speed of 320 KTAS at 26,000 ft”.
