The Australian Association of Aviation and Aerospace Industries (AAAAI) has celebrated its first year by announcing a new name and a new agenda.
Now called Aviation Aerospace Australia, the organisation says it “will provide a more succinct brand for the national peak body, which now boasts almost 50 members.”
“We have been listening to current and prospective members about what they need from their national peak association,” said CEO Geoff Bowmaker in a statement. “Skill issues and international advocacy and promotion are the priority areas that the industry wants addressed, and we have redrafted the association’s objectives to reflect that. We will be focusing our resources on offering services that are squarely aimed at delivering these outcomes for our members.”
Mr Bowmaker added that Aviation Aerospace Australia would also coordinate and aggregate industry-focused research, monitor and address the skill needs of the industry, and support the professional development of future business leaders within the sector.
