The Boeing 787 has touched down on Australian soil for the first time, with development aircraft N787BA (msn ZA001) arriving in Sydney this morning at the start of a three day visit.

ZA001 – the very first 787 to fly – touched down on Sydney’s Runway 34L at about 1100 this morning, flying in from a three day visit with Air New Zealand in Auckland. The aircraft will be the centrepiece of Qantas’s 91st anniversary celebrations tomorrow, before flying to Melbourne on the 17th.

Unfortunately the aircraft will not be open for inspection by the public during its brief Australian stay.
