Jetstar Japan has taken delivery of its first aircraft, with the first of a planned fleet of 24 Airbus A320s handed over in Toulouse this week.

The 180-seat A320 is the first of an initial fleet of three Jetstar Japan will use to commence services with from July, initially linking Tokyo Narita with Kansai, Fukuoka, Sapporo and Okinawa. The aircraft are being drawn from the Qantas Group’s October 2011 order for 110 A320 Family aircraft.

Jetstar Japan is a joint venture between Qantas, Japan Airlines, Mitsubishi Corporation and Century Tokyo Leasing.
