written by WOFA | May 16, 2012
Bombardier has lanuched the Learjet 70 and 75.

Bombardier launched its six-seat Learjet 70 and eight-seat Learjet 75 (pictured) at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva on May 14.

Updates of and replacements for its Learjet 40XR and 45XR, the aircraft feature new Honeywell 3,850lb (17.1kN) TFE731-40BR engines and new canted wingtips, yielding a nine per cent increase in field performance and a four per cent reduction in fuel burn. Other features include the ‘Vision Flight Deck’ based on Garmin’s G5000 digital avionics suite and cabin improvements from the forthcoming Learjet 85.

Bombardier says entry-into-service is planned for the first half of 2013, and that it already holds firm orders, letters of intent and other commitments for more than 50 examples of the two models.
