India’s civil aviation minister has said that Air India will take delivery of three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners by the end of June after the two companies agreed on a compensation package for the delays in the aircraft program.

Air India had been scheduled to take delivery of its first 787 by the end of May, but that was delayed as the two companies agreed on the details of the compensation package, which is now awaiting approval from the Indian cabinet.

Air India has 27 Dreamliners on order.
