Singapore Airlines will fly an additional three weekly services to Adelaide from July 2, reinstating flights it had dropped earlier this year.

The new services will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, and will be flown with Airbus A330-300s.

“With these services, Adelaide will benefit from greater connectivity to Singapore Airlines’ global network,” said SIA’s regional vice president South West Pacific Subhas Menon.

“Customers can now enjoy optimal transit times of less than two hours on key routes throughout Europe and Asia.”

Mr Menon also recently told the Sydney Morning Herald that the airline may add more frequencies to Perth and Brisbane later this year, and has also indicated that it may add a second A380 service on the Melbourne route.

Singapore Airlines says that it is the largest foreign carrier operating into Australia with 105 weekly services from July 2, and combined with its regional subsidiary SilkAir, flies to all mainland capital cities.
