Australian Cessna distributer Aeromil has opened its new flight academy at the Sunshine Coast Airport.
The academy, known as Flight Options, is designed to support Aeromil customers by providing a “new approach to flight training” tailored to customer needs.
“For example, in the rural sector where aircraft play an important part of business and family life, we have worked with a customer in regional Queensland to find the right aircraft and put together a pilot training and on-going support program,” said Flight Options managing director Steve Padgett.
The academy will also offer courses for private pilot and commercial pilot licences, instrument and instructor ratings and aircraft endorsements. Its facilities include new simulator rooms with category B simulators and Garmin G1000 training equipment, while students will fly new glass cockpit Cessna aircraft equipped with Garmin G300 technology.
Advanced business and corporate aviation training will utilise Flight Safety Level D full motion Citation Mustang simulators.
