AIRnet promotes Australian industry capability

written by australianaviation.com.au | October 30, 2012

Aviation/Aerospace Australia (A/AA) has created an industry resources network aimed at supporting small to medium sized Australian aviation companies develop business opportunities in Asia.

The Aviation Industry Resources Network (AIRnet) has been created for A/AA members to share opportunities, market intelligence and news on potential business in Asia, and was launched in response to recent successful trade missions to China and India.

A/AA CEO Jim Carden said AIRnet would help its members develop leads into opportunities and ultimately into business. “There is a real sense that developing complementary capability can unlock valuable opportunities in these markets,” he said.

AIRnet will also be a valuable asset for governments to access market intelligence to strengthen official trade missions.

The success of the recent missions will lead to follow up visits to Asia in 2013, in addition to reciprocal visits planned by Chinese organisations, including airlines, manufacturers, regulators, airports and universities.
