The RAAF’s Central Flying School plans to mark its centenary of formation in March 1913 with a reunion dinner at its East Sale, Victoria base on March 8 2013.

CFS first formed on March 7 1913 at Point Cook near Melbourne as the first flying unit within the Australian Flying Corps. The unit has been based at East Sale since December 1947 and is responsible for flying instructor training. It is also home to the Roulettes aerobatic display team.

The unit is calling for former members to make contact to take part in the reunion dinner and related activities.

CFS asks that “If you are a former member of Central Flying School and wish to be included on the invitation list, please send your name, rank, dates of tour, position held, email and mailing address to Ms Fiona Jazownik, Central Flying School, RAAF Base East Sale Vic 3852 or email [email protected].”
